Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Universe Bound Box.
Everything that we received in our Universe Bound Volume 3 Box. This is a fun assortment and includes THREE Books!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. This lists each of the items included in this box.
The reverse has an image from this months featured book.
Each box from Universe Bound comes with enough bookmarks for each of our books. Here are our 3 for this month.
Pepperidge Farm Chessman Cookies
This box comes with many tasty treats. This month they included a packet of cookies from Pepperidge Farms. These will go perfect with your tea.
Immortal Candle from Universe Bound
Our candle for the month is named “Immortal” and has notes of Clary Sage, Rock Rose and Ylang Ylang. We really like the dark color of this candle.
This soap is probably one of our favorite “non-book items” that was included in this box.
We love that when we hold it up to the light you can see this fun and colorful nebula like pattern. It’s super pretty!
Necronian Magick Nanytes Bath Salts
We’re going to assume that the name of these bath salts has something to do with one of the books we received. We love bath items and can’t wait to give these a try. Both the salts and the nebula soap are scented with sweet orange, ylang ylang and sage.
Another snack that we received in this box are these 2 Nonni’s chocolate and caramel biscotti cookies. Oh man what an indulgent treat! We’ll be saving these for a cheat snack!
Grid Traveler Trinity by J. Carrell Jones
This is the featured book for this month. The story centers around Sean Blakemore a human with ancient alien DNA that can unlock the vast powers of Necron, the planet where magic originated. However, Blakemore is unhappy, depressed and drinks too much. When he is given new orders to work with Dr. Loggar the scientist he is sucked into the discovery of humankind’s true origins and his own path to redemption.
This book sounds pretty darn good to us!
We are absolutely thrilled to have received this book! We’ve never heard of it but apparently it was founded in 1971. This witty publication is a reference book that is fascinating to the average reader and Wiccans alike!
We find herbs and elixirs super interesting so we are super pumped to have gotten this!
The Killing Moon by N.K. Jemisin
Our third & final book in this subscription box is “The Killing Moon”. This book takes place in the ancient city of Gujaareh where peace is the only law. Corrupt people (deemed by the Gatherers) are healed, soothed or killed depending on the severity of their incidence. When a conspiracy occurs within the greatest temple in the city the most famous gatherer has to question himself and everything he knows and must protect a woman he was sent to kill.
This book looks excellent and we really think that our husband will like it.
These GRID Traveler Trading cards go along with our GRID Traveler Trinity Book and introduce us to most of the characters in the book as well as a few we’ll meet in upcoming releases.
Each box from Universe Bound comes with a tin of candy and tea. This month they combined it all together into one large tin.
We received 15 pieces of assorted coffee and caramel flavored candies.
The tea for this month is Red Hot Hibiscus flavored and is great hot or iced. We love that they included some disposable tea bags for us to use as well!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to us perfectly in our Universe Bound Book Box
Quality: We love that they include items from independent publishers
Curation: We feel like there was definitely a theme to this box and it was conveyed well! Great box from them, we can’t wait to read these books!
