Through the Grapevine is a bimonthly raw wine of the month club. Each package contains either 3 or 6 bottles of natural or raw wine. Through the Grapevine uses wines that come from small wineries (less than 5,000 cases a year) and that have very little intervention – meaning minimal doctoring at the winery. The wines are also organic and handpicked and come from select wineries in France, Italy and Austria. The result is a wine that is alive! Full of microbiology and low in sulfites. Subscriptions to the 3 bottle box (what we’re reviewing) are $79.95 with free shipping (and they ship to 46 states!). Use code ASHELI15 and the link in this post for 15% OFF! NAT received this package at no cost for review purposes.

Our first glimpse inside the Through the Grapevine package. Everything is packaged super carefully!
Everything that we received in our Through the Grapevine package. There are three wines in total – one blush and 2 reds! We also receive plenty of information about all three!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. This is like a little welcome card. The reverse has all of Through the Grapevine’s social handles.
$19.95
The first wine in our box is a rose from Fitou, FR. The aromas in this wine of peach and strawberry come from 60% Syrah and 40% Carignan grapes. This wine pairs well with sandwiches, steak and salad. Probably the most versatile of all the wines we received this one is perfect for the warm summer months!
We love that each bottle is labeled from Through the Grapevine so we know where it comes from and what we’re actually drinking!
Each wine comes with a detailed card that tells you all about it and where it comes from!
$29.95
This 2016 powerhouse consists of slightly dried Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes. These culminate in a bright as well intense color and flavor. This is a great wine to break out on a special occasion!
This pairs well with soups, stews, cheese and pastas.
We love that the cards give pairing suggestions along with temperatures that these wines should be stored at!
$35.95
Our final and most expensive wine is from the same winery that produced our first wine. This refined Carignan (2015) variety comes from the best plot of aged vines in the Fitou AOP. Enjoy it now or allow it to age several years!
Pair this beautiful red with poultry, sausage or cheese!
We love hearing about the companies and the practices that they employ to create these beautiful raw wines! Our card tells us the process this winery uses to produce a minimum input wine while respecting nature as well as life.
So in summary
Presentation: Everything was packaged carefully and arrived to us perfectly in our box. Which is really important with a box like this!
Quality: We love that they are sourcing wines that are an organic and healthier version to what is on the market. The wines that Through the Grapevine offers are minimally tampered with and offer us the best of what nature has to offer.
Curation: We really liked the variety that we received. The blush is unusual and will be delicious during a girls afternoon while the 2 reds will be great for dinner and offer up the contrasts between regions!
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($79.95) we received $90 in wines which is a great deal!
