Pura Vida Bracelets (translates to pure life or simple life in English) is a handmade jewelry and bracelet company that originated out of the laid-back and simple life found when two college friends took a graduation trip to Costa Rica in 2010. They fell in love with the chill lifestyle of the locals and when they came across two struggling local artisans selling colorful string bracelets they wanted to help them. So they asked the artisans to make 400 bracelets to take home. Once back home they put the bracelets on display at a local boutique and within days sold out completely! That is when the ‘aha’ moment occurred…
