Here’s the Box Breakdown

first look in postbox

Our first glimpse inside the Postbox from Postmark’d Studio

One of the best things about this subscription are the extra touches. It’s always wrapped beautifully (which we usually don’t get to share here because it’s part of the unboxing video). This month all our cards were wrapped with this bow tie! It was super apt and cute.

Everything that we received in our December “Just Chill” Postbox. This has a fun black and white penguin theme which is creative and fun!

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert. The front always lists each of the items that we received.

And the reverse lists fun facts or ways to incorporate the themes from this subscription box into your life.

You Make Me Happy Card

$5.95

From, “The First Snow” greeting cards this whimsical, vintage-esque creation is intended to lift the spirits of it’s recipient. We love both the illustration and saying on this card!

The First Snow is located in Westminster, Colorado.

Emperor Penguin Card

$9

This pretty foil card has an emperor penguin on it and while it’s simple in design it’s the only card in this bunch that breaks with the white, black and grey color scheme. This bright pop of teal makes this box brighter and more alive!

This card from Catherine Greenup Visual is located in Cambria, California who foils each card meticulously by hand.

Splendid Fountain Pen

$10

Next we have an item we are truly excited about! We’ve never owned a fountain pen and cannot wait to fill out some of our cards with this. This pen also comes with 3 black cartridges so you won’t run out of ink!

Happy Birthday Card

$6

This little happy birthday penguin can’t contain his cheer! This would be the perfect birthday card for someone with a winter birthday!

9th Letter Press is a letter press located in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Warm & Fuzzies Card

$5

This penguin isn’t just cute… he’s wearing a sweater and reminding the recipient we are wishing them a warm and fuzzy holiday! We gave this to our mail lady for Christmas, figured she’d think it was pretty cute!

Harken Press is located in Conroe, Texas and is created by Brynne Meyer.

Itsy  Bitsy Arctic Antic Stickers

$1.99

These cute arctic animals stickers were a box bonus. These are our 2nd item in this box from Ooly, who was also kind enough to include a subscriber only coupon code for 15% OFF their online shop (full of tons of whimsical and fun paper and stationery goods).

Penguin Postcard

$5.68

Pukaca Paper Toys is a Lisbon, Portugal based small business. They have a unique assortment of different crafts that you can fold and turn into paper toys. This postcard comes with all the pieces and instructions to turn this into a penguin! This would be a great way to send a long distance card to a kiddo in your family.

Let it Snow Telegram

$6

This is super pretty and will definitely be a fun card to receive (albeit a little messy). Add the glitter in this card to water to turn it into artificial snow! We’ll be sending this card to someone who has bought our kids toys with small parts in the past… because… what’s fair is fair!

This card is from Inklings Paperie that’s located in Detroit, Michigan. They create all sorts of cards with fun twists – like scratch offs and pop-ups. We’ll definitely be purchasing from them in the future!

Postage

And as always we received enough postage to mail all of our cards. This month we received vintage stamps that had an Olympic theme. There is a neat little chart that was included with it to show us how much postage to use!

So in summary

Presentation: We love the way this subscription box is packaged each month and everything arrives to us perfectly.

Quality: They source their cards from small, independent letterpress’ who put their hearts into the cards that they create. You truly couldn’t ask for better quality.

Curation: This month’s “Just Chill” theme was a cute spin on the typical holiday cards and we think they executed it perfectly!

Box Economy: For the $25 that this box costs this subscription box had a total value of $50 which makes this an excellent value!
