Subscription Box Review

stationery subscription box

Everything that came in my October, “Octo BEAR” themed box. This is absolutely adorable and contains an amazing assortment of cards (as always).

So what is all this stuff?

One of our box inserts. I love that this month they added some Ephemera to it to dress it up a bit!

Our other insert lists each of the items that was included in our box for October.

The reverse of our insert always includes something extra. This month we have a guest post from Kimberly and ephemeral mail artist.

Each package from Postbox includes vintage postage for four cards.

They also show you how to group your postage on the attached card. I don’t really like to touch these stamps before I use them since they are the kind that get sticky once they get wet.

Happy Birthday Card

$4.50

The first card in our package is from a new to us stationery brand called Yeppie Paper. This cute card features a Grizzly Bear catching CUPCAKES instead of fish! So cute and a great way to send a nice birthday greeting to a loved one. It’s important to note that each card from Postbox is blank inside so you can add any message you’d like!

Bear Shadow Puppet Card

This card from Fluid Ink Press located in Perth Australia is probably my favorite that was included in this box. This would fit into the “Just Because” card category and sometimes those are the best. Plus, shadow puppets speaks to something so whimsical and child like how could you not love it!

Moonstruck Chocolate Bar

$4

A first in our Postbox is chocolate. I received the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt and Almond bar from Moonstuck. I’ll be honest I’m not a huge dark chocolate lover but this bar was exception. The almonds made it smooth and creamy! I shared this with my four year old who also enjoyed it a good deal!

Sunflower Bear Card

$4

Our next card is from Polanshek of the Hills a Vermont based letterpress. I am getting all sorts of bohemian vibes from this card and love the feeling it gives the recipient. This sweet bear is delivering flowers to whoever you decide to give this to. I love all the illustrations that Polanshek of the Hills uses!

Smokey the Bear Postcard

This vintage Smokey the Bear Postcard is PERFECTION! How much better could this be for this particular box. I love the old time mail truck in the back as well. This postcard is from Lantern Press a Seattle based letterpress!

Thank You Card

$5

Our final card for the month is from Driscoll Design that’s also based in Seattle Washington. This sweet camping break gives whoever you send it to a big old bear hug and proclaims your thanks – whether it’s for friendship, advice or anything!

Beary Important Notepad

$8

The final item in our package for this month is this, “Beary Important” notepad. These are essential in my life to create lists to keep me on task! I love this vintage looking bear as well and think this will be a fitting notepad to use throughout fall and winter this year.

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to us perfectly in our Postbox for October. They did switch from a box to a brown mailer but that doesn’t bother me at all!

Quality: I love that they source each of their cards from different small letterpress’s throughout the world! These are all high quality cards that have been made with love.

Curation: Not only is this Octo BEAR themed box extremely creative and thoughtful – but each of the items that was included absolutely belonged inside. I loved it!
