Subscription Box Review
Everything that came in our “Oh Deer” themed package from Postbox for December. This is one of my all time favorite collections from them! The theme is unique but also does remind us that it’s the holidays!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. One side of this card always tells us how to take the box one step further. The past few months they’ve introduced what they call the Brand Ambassador Series which tells us about each of the Postbox brand ambassadors.
The insert also lists each of the items that came in our package for the month. They do a really great job of telling us information about each of the letterpress’s that they’ve included in the event we want to buy more products from them.
Each package from Postbox also comes with a handwritten note that kind of clues you into that month’s theme. This one has a golden deer stamp on the envelope which I thought was beautiful.
Reindeer Food
First item in our box is aptly… reindeer food! This cute little package includes sunflower seeds and just the right amount of glitter to fuel Santa’s fleet of flying deer! What a cute inclusion in this box!
I think this is such a great idea!
Vintage Postage
Every package from Postbox also includes enough vintage postage for five cards.
There’s also a little card that tells you how to group them to equal the right amount of postage. Each of the stamps for this month are green – so they match!
Fawn’d of You Greeting Card
$4.50
The first card in our collection for the month is from Alison Glass. This “Fawn’d of You” card is both colorful and full of whimsy. The card is simple but that envelope though! The print is youthful and includes images of trees, ornaments, deer and mushrooms. So fun and full of color and it has a sticker to boot! Alison Glass creates all sorts of products and is located in Yorkville, Va. This card would be great to include with a gift to a grandparent (right that’s what I’m using it for).
Reindeer Food Postcard
$2
The box for this month also included a postcard from Good Postage. This nostalgic card is adorable and hones in on that earlier reindeer food we received. The color scheme is simple and almost reminds me of Christmases past!
Send this to anyone you want to remind of the joy of the season. Good Postage is located in Asheville, NC.
I Love Reindeer Greeing Card
Next up is a card from Appalachia Press, a company that is included in our Postboxes quite a bit. This card has a pretty simple motif in silver and beige with a reindeer graphic and then there’s that fun and vibrant pop of red which I think is a really nice touch. Use this card as a way to reach out to long distance friends around this joyous time of the year.
Appalachia Press is a letterpress located in Roanoke, VA.
Stationery Set from Midori
Midori is a Japanese stationery company that creates some of the coolest products. This stationery set is deer themed and is super cute. These would make great ways to say thank you or just write a note to someone you love!
The set includes four felt reindeer stickers.
It also includes these thin and almost translucent sheets of paper with a deer at the top as well as these beautiful envelopes – the print on these has a greenish yellow flower and is simply stunning. Interesting fact – Midori has been around since 1950!
Reindeer Lights Greeting Card
$6.75
One of my favorite cards that was included in this collection is this card with the string of lights in a deer’s antlers. Not only is it whimsical and fun … it’s a sweet ode to the cheer that we feel during the holiday season. The blue and white keeps it simple but the colored lights add a touch of fun. Something about the look on the deer’s face tells me he’s done with the holidays though. Send this to someone who could use some positive energy during the holidays.
Bison Bookbinding and Letterpress is located good old Bellingham, Wa!
Reindeer Antlers Greeting Card
My absolute favorite item in this box is from Snow Made, a Portland Oregon based wood and stationery brand. The card has two antler ornaments, one for you and one is for the recipient. Both ornaments are made from wood. So the coolest thing about this I think is that not only is this a cute card… it’s also a gift! It’s important to note that each of the cards included in the Postboxes are blank inside which gives you the ability to write any greeting that you’d like!
The back tells you that you are to keep this special ornament forever. What a cute sentiment!?
So in summary
Presentation: The collections from Postbox are some of my favorites to unbox because not only are the cards varied but the themes unite them and I just love that. Everything arrived to me perfectly in my box for this month.
Quality: I mean… what more can I say. Each card is hand designed as well as handmade and each one is a little work of art. I love the high quality stock that used and the designs are always so dang unique!
Curation: I thought that this month’s theme was absolutely precious and came together magically. It really gave you those Christmas vibes without overdoing it, if that makes sense.
