Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Winter Oceanista Box.
Everything that we received in our Winter, “Psalms and Palms” themed box. It’s a beautiful box and we are so excited about these items!
So what is all this stuff?
This box insert lists each of the items that we received as well as a note from the curator.
And this insert tells us about this season’s featured artisan, The Roman Glass Co.
$29.95
First in our winter box is this lavender blue kimono. This is a gorgeous color and we love the design! This will look great with our new earrings (keep reading for that) and will also look great with last season’s Doucce Eyeshadow Duo!
This is so soft and light and we love the fringe! This is made with 100% viscose!
Featured Artisan Paradise Coast Hospitality Beads
$20
Next we have these hospitality beads, these add a bit of welcoming decor to your home. Use these on your Christmas tree, doorknob or even in a window to both bless your home and ward off negative energy with the protection of the sea.
We love the color scheme they used and the oyster shells really gives this piece character!
Featured Artisan Ancient Roman Glass Hook Earrings by The Roman Glass Company
$88
Next is our other featured artisan, The Roman Glass Company. This was this season’s spoiler and an item we’ve been super stoked about receiving. This glass was unearthed in an archaeological excavation in Israel. It’s wearable art history.
The patina is what makes these gorgeous earrings stand out. Patina is what happens over time as this glass lay in mineral rich soil, each pair is completely unique!
Elizabath Arden Sunkissed Pearls Gel Eye Liner
$22
We haven’t had a chance to try this yet but y’all know how much we love to get makeup. We like gel eyeliner because it’s easy to apply and this one even came with an angled brush to help us apply more evenly. We have a gel liner open already so we don’t want to dry this one out by opening it already!
Oceanista Bamboo Drinking Straws
$6.95
We received 4 eco-friendly bamboo straws. Use these at home, at the beach or anywhere. We love that the sizes vary and you receive a cleaning brush and carrying bag as well. The best part though, is that you’ll be creating less waste! These will be included in each season’s box! They suggest using the wider straws for smoothies (which we think is genius)!
Swell Made Co. Monsterra Leaf Keytag
$8.97
Remind yourself of warm days with green leaves and white waves with this pretty key chain! This is gold plated and really pretty. We actually have one of these already so we’ll be passing this one to our friend who LOVES the beach!
Hotel Luxe Spa Candle by Beach Style Collective
$35
This candle is so swanky! This signature scent has notes of fresh sea water, flower petals and musk. We love the simple and minimalistic container the candle is in – it won’t compete with your decor at all! And it comes in a gift box so you can give this as a really fantastic gift to someone in your life (It is after all the season of giving). We have to say we won’t be parting with ours though!
Sanctuary of Words Card from Paradise Coast Beads
$4.95
This custom card is a beautiful way to send someone a note this season. This poem was written by Kate at Paradise Coast Beads and is a beautiful homage to this wonderful and blessed time of year! We already know who we’ll be sending this to!
So in summary
Presentation: Each box from Oceanista is packaged beautifully and everything arrives to us in perfect condition.
Quality: We love that they source items from artisans and lesser known brands but also shake it up with big name makeup items! Everything is always high end!
Curation: This season’s theme was well executed. It’s hard to combine winter and an ocean vibe (and we weren’t sure how they were going to pull it off) but we have to say this box makes sense to us!
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($81) we received $196 in items which is a phenomenal deal!
