Our first glimpse inside the Summer 2019, “Girl from Ipanema” themed box. We couldn’t wait to see what was inside!
Everything that we received in our Summer, “Girl from Ipanema” themed box. This is probably our favorite collection yet and it included so many beautiful and useful items!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. This lists each of the items that we received along with their retail values and ways to use them!
They also give us lots of information about the featured artisan for the season, Katie Makaiwi with Lani Makana.
They also did something a little different this season. They shared with us a recipe for summer from Summer Collier who runs A Spicy Perspective. This recipe is a Brazilian Chopped Salad and looks super tasty!
The final pages tell us how the Sand Dollar Rewards program works and how you can use your empty Oceanista Box to clean up trash at the beach and then share on IG for a free gift!
China Glaze in Beach Buff from the Body & Sol Collection

The first item in our box is this nail lacquer from China Glaze. This Body & Sol Collection includes 6 nude shades that have dimension and summer shine! We love this color and think it’s a perfect color for everyday manis!
This is flattering to all skin tones and works perfectly with the other items that we received in this season’s box!
Brazilian Camu Camu Body + Hair Dry Oil from Body Drench

The next item in our box is from Body Drench and can be used in both hair and on the body to hydrate and nourish skin and hair. When used in hair this oil improves the texture of the hair without adding weight. This is a full sized 4 ounce bottle. We love hair oil as you guys know so we’ll definitely be using this!
Genuine Surf Tumbled Sea Glass Pendant Necklace from Lani Makana

Next we have our artisanal piece for the season created by Katie Makaiwi with Lani Makana. Each of these pieces of sea glass was hand picked off the coast of Aguada, Puerto Rico where they were sent to Oceanista (who had them checked for authenticity and used only the best of the batches) in batches of 100. There was an incredible amount of work that went into these pieces and it shows.
No two pendants are alike and each pendant is wrapped in a .925 sterling silver wire and strung on a 100% fine Italian .925 sterling silver snake chain.
Even the pouch it came in is gorgeous – and they suggest using this to keep your fine jewelry with you when you go through TSA security check points (clever)!
Elan Resort 2019 Coverup Convertible Skirt Dress

Something you can always expect with the Oceanista Box are high end, swanky beach threads. This season they included this gorgeous coverup in a beautiful shade from Elan, a brand that combines fashion and comfort with high quality fabrics. This print is Aztec inspired and includes a tassled fringe for a bit of extra flair.
You can wear this so many different ways and because of it’s 54 inch length it accommodates and flatters so many different body types!
Oceanista Beach Net Market Tote

A cute addition to this box is this fish net market tote in a beautiful sea foam color. This holds up to 20 pounds and is great for toting your beach essentials or even for shopping the boardwalk! Made of cotton this can hold lots of items but can be rolled up and tucked away in your bag or car taking up literally NO SPACE!
Oceanista Cateye Sunnies with Driftwood Designer Carrying Case

We received the tortoise style sunglasses in our Oceanista Box but there was also a black pair available (they were shipped at random). This style was chosen because it compliments the other items in the box and is also a style that most can wear and look great it!
Our sunglasses included an Oceanista branded microfiber cloth for cleaning.
But what we have to say we love the most is the case these came in… this folds flat for easy storage and you can also keep cash in here while you’re out and about. We love this case and will be using this to pack our glasses FOREVER!
These are super pretty on and are polarized as well! And yes… our funky chicken totally photo bombed!
Oceanista Embroidered Floppy Beach Hat

One of our absolute favorite items in this box is this gorgeous beach hat! This hat is made from recyclable paper straw and is environmentally friendly. Easy to pack this is crushable as well as foldable. The wide brim offers a great amount of sun protection for the face and the Oceanista embroidery is beautiful!
This hat is adjustable to boot. The inside has a string tie to increase or decrease the size of the band.
We love how beautiful and natural this hat looks on. It’s adds an effortless dash of chic that any beach loving babe can appreciate!
Oka B Millie Flip Flops

The final item in our Summer 2019 Oceanista Box are these Oka B Flip Flops. These are a summer must have and are sustainably made right here in the USA. These are anti microbial and machine washable (you can literally put these in the dishwasher to clean them)! And can easily withstand hot temperatures – these are slip resistant and have built in heel cups to create comfort.
This sandal is the result of Oka B’s design team attempting (and doing a heck of a great job) to create the PERFECT thong flip flop. They believe in their product so much each pair comes with a 2 year guarantee – if something is defective or your straps break Oka B will replace them for you and they’ll also recycle your old sandals for you for FREE!
This is a great woman led business and we love that they are combining comfort with style! These flip flops are a simple black and will work with almost any outfit!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything is packaged beautifully and arrives to us perfectly in our Summer 2019 Oceanista Box.
Quality: The quality of the items included in the Oceanista Box is always AMAZING. They work with boutique style brands and artisans to bring swanky resort style items to us each season.
Curation: This seasons’s, “Girl from Ipanema” themed box is a beautiful collection and really makes us feel all those island vibes. A gorgeous box with the perfect variation!
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($85) we received $235.50 in products which is an amazing value!
