Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Misfits Market Box.
Everything that we received in our Misfits Market Box for February. I mean this is the top of the box… the rest is totally in there and it’s PACKED!
So what is all this stuff?
You’ll notice most of the items that we receive do not look ugly… we still don’t get that part of this. Most everything is perfectly beautiful! These red grape tomatoes are perfect and they’re organic. Also you’ll notice we don’t receive a paper insert from Mistfits Market… instead we get an email with that week’s possibilities.
Next were 15 Tangelo oranges. These are great for store lunches and won’t last long in our house!
Then we have 6 limes. We can use these for so many things – pico de gallo, different dips and marinades too!
We received 2 bags of pea leaf. We thought this was spinach in the video but after sauteing it with butter realized we were wildly mislead. We aren’t huge pea leaf fans but we don’t mind at all!
Another fruit option that was included were these 4 oranges.
Okay, so another mistake we made in the unboxing was saying these were zucchini… they’re actually Persian cucumbers… these (because they’re seedless) are perfect for pickling. The little hat on these totally confused us! We’re looking forward to some tasty pickles!
There were 4 avocados included (we’ll be using these in our guacamole).
And two HUGE bags of snow peas. One of these bags feeds our family of 6 one dinner portion plus a little leftover… so this is awesome!
There were also 4 green bell peppers included. Most of the vegetables in this week’s box were wrapped in these plastic boxes.
We also received a bunch of collards. We already told you guys how much we love these!?
There were 2 huge bunches of pretty carrots (with their tops on!)
And the heavy stuff at the bottom… there’s 4 large yellow onions, 4 sweet potatoes as well as 1 butternut squash! The butternut squash makes such a delicious soup!
And finally in this week’s Misfits Market Box we received these 3 cucumbers. We have already used these in our meal planned salads for the week!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything is packaged well and arrived perfectly in our Mistfits Market Box for the week
Quality: Well, I guess they set the bar low? They say it’s ugly produce but we really don’t feel like ANYTHING was ugly at all and are seriously impressed with all the food we received!
Curation: This is probably the best box that we’ve received from Mistfits Market. It was so full of produce and for just $34?! If you bought this at the store you’d spend double for sure! We will never go back!
