Everything that came in my February Box from Ipsy. This is probably the best month I’ve gotten from them!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. The “theme” and they use theme’s really loosely in beauty boxes… is “Feel the Love”
Typically they put the prices of the items that you received inside the insert but this month surprisingly they did not.
Dominique Cosmetics Sweater Weather Palette
This palette is no longer listed on the Dominique Cosmetics site so I am not sure of the retail value but I will say that I LOVE the packaging. It’s super comfy looking!
Inside you’d find exactly what you’d expect. There are six matte shades in muted colors that range from light pink to deep grays. I am personally loving this color story and in the past I’ve really liked the Dominque formula for eyeshadows.
Here they are swatched and I really like them. The very light pink is a bit chalky but every other color performs beautifully!
Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation

The item that I chose for the month and was quite excited about to be honest is the Nude Illusion Foundation from Wander Beauty. I personally love that beauty boxes are starting to incorporate the more basic face products like foundation and concealer.
I will say that I’m not as into the applicator as opposed to a squeeze tube or pump because I love to be able to add a drop of face oil to my foundation. As such this starts to look a little dry and crepey on my skin.
It does go on nice and dewy though and the foundation itself is almost twice the price of the box!
Il Makiage InkLiner

Next is a black liquid liner from Il Makiage. Both Wander and Il Makiage are in a lot of the Ipsy Plus Boxes. I’ll be honest and say this was the only disappointing item in the box… as I really don’t use liquid liners and thus don’t need any more. BUT I know people do use them so I’ll forgive it. I haven’t tried this … so I can’t say much about the performance.
LoveCraft Beauty Blush Palette

Next is my favorite item in this box… a blush palette from Love Craft Beauty. For some reason the image of my swatches was blurry but this three pan palette has three beautiful colors. One is “Blush pigmented” what I mean is it’s very light going on and easy to build up and the other two you’d have to go in with a very light hand but still look gorgeous no doubt.
Here are the pans.. the far left shade Altheda is my favorite.
Murad Essential C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30+

The final item in my box is the Essential C Moisturizer with SPF from Murad. I do have one of these already but will be glad to pass this off to a friend. Murad makes such nice products, this is a great item to receive in a subscription box.
So in summary
Presentation: Everything arrived to me in great condition but I would have liked to have had the items on the box insert like usual.
Quality: No doubt Ipsy does a great job getting great quality items in these boxes and this month was no exception
Curation: Definitely a wonderful, well rounded collection of MOSTLY makeup which has been a thing lately. I am glad to get a bunch of makeup instead of skincare!
Box Economy: Even without the value of the Dominique Cosmetics Palette we still have a value of $165 which is awesome!
