My first glimpse inside the Gramma in a Box package for January.

children's subscription box

Everything that came in our box for January. The theme was “New Year and Football Treats”

So what is all this stuff?

Our box insert. This tells us a bit more about this month’s theme and the reverse lists each of the items included in our box.

There’s also an instruction card included for each of the three projects that we received for this month.

The first item in our box is our two sheets of parchment paper that we’ll use to put our candy and cookie crafts on to set. These make cleanup a snap!

These gold sugar crystals will be used in our third, cookie decorating project!

Next is our melting chocolate (a different color is included in each box each month fitting that month’s theme). This month they’ve included white chocolate with colorful pieces in it. This will be used in both our first New Years Sparklers project as well as our Game Day Crunch project!

Each package from Gramma in a Box also comes with three different colored icings that also fit that month’s theme. These will be used in your third, cookie decorating project. This month they included yellow, brown and blue frosting!

We also received these chocolate looking sprinkles. These will also be used in our third cookie decorating project.

Each package from Gramma also comes with eight cookies. The first package of four includes two football shaped cookies.

As well as two star shaped cookies.

Our next package includes the smaller of the cookies. In this package there are two, two number cookies

There are also two zero shaped cookies. These create the year 2020.

There’s also a package of pretzels. Six of the pretzels are larger and six are smaller. The first six will be used in our Sparkler Rods project and the other six will be used in our Game Day Crunch Project.

These peanuts will be used in our Game Day Crunch project

These really colorful dots will be used in our first New Year Sparkler Project.

These cranberries will be used in our second Game Day Crunch Project.

These blue sugar crystals will be used in our final Cookie Decorating project, each of the sugar crystals and sprinkles for this project matches the frosting that was included.

Then there are these colorful candy bits that will also be used in our Game Day Crunch Project.

The popcorn will serve as the base for our Game Day Crunch project.

Okay so what next?

Next we get to creating!

First we gather up everything that we’ll need for our sparkler rod project. The pretzels, melting chocolate and the pastel dots.

Then we heat up the melting chocolate and split up the pretzels to prep everything.

We dump our dots out onto a plate so it’s easy to roll our pretzel in each one.

After we spoon the melted chocolate onto each pretzel we roll it into the dots and we are left with something like this, so cute!

Here are our completed pretzel rods!

Next we will gather everything that we need to complete our Game Day Crunch project. We will need the other six pretzels, the popcorn, cranberries, candy bits, peanuts and our remaining melting chocolate

We pour the popcorn into a medium sized bowl and split the pretzels up into bite sized pieces.

Then we add the cranberries, peanuts, candy pieces and pretzels to our bowl with the pretzels.

Then we add in the chocolate and spread it out on our wax paper to set. Yummy!

Finally I gather together everything that I need for the cookie decorating project. Both the three frostings as well as the three sprinkles, our cookies too.

I really just let the kids have fun and go to town decorating these. Here is one of Belle’s number twos!

Here are some of Penny’s creations.

These are Vivienne’s fun 20 shaped cookies!

Messy but lots of fun!

All in all the kids had lots of fun creating theses!

So in summary

Presentation: Everything arrived to me perfectly and was packaged well in my January package from Gramma in a Box.

Quality: The cookies in this package are always delicious and I’m always impressed with the variety of sprinkles.

Curation: This is a cute assortment for both the New Year as well as Football season. Great month from Gramma.
