Drop Hat is a monthly hat and accessory subscription box. Each package comes complete with at least one hat and accessories based upon your preferences. Upon subscribing you’ll be asked; your age, colors you’d never wear, sports you play, your favorite sports teams, cities that you’d never represent, if you would be interested in non-sports related hats as well as your shirt size. They have 3 subscription options; the Rookie Box has 1 hat and 1-2 accessories for $34.95, the All Star Box has 2 hats and 2-3 accessories for $59.95 and the Legend (what we’re reviewing) contains at least three hats and 3-4 accessories for $79.95. Use code NOTATREE10 for 10% OFF your first box. Not a Tree Reviews received this box at no cost for review purposes.

Here’s the Box Breakdown
Our first glimpse inside the Drop Hat Box
Everything that we received in our Drop Hat Box for May. This is the Legend Box so we do get 3 hats.. and it just feels … astronomical!
So what is all this stuff?
Our business card is an etched upon piece of wood, which is pretty cool!
There’s a Fila revival afoot! We thought this brand was gone (since our own middle school days… when Fila’s patent black leather on white matte leather sneakers were all the rage)! We have been noticing a resurgence as of late.
These red wristbands compliment the other items in this box perfectly, creating an ensemble that is really unique in a box such as this!
Use this ring hook to use your phone as a recording device or even just watch shows or movies. From the New Era 59Fifty line this works perfectly into the theme of this box and is 100% useful!
In the unboxing we couldn’t think of the name of these kinds of belts… and of course… we immediately remembered the name afterwards. A very laid back way to make a statement – this red and black striped belt works perfectly with your new wristbands!
These sorts of belts are very nostalgic for us and we love the black clip.. gives this a very current feeling!
Leave no stone left unturned! These socks match our other red items yet also keep with the high quality of this box. These are thick, absorbent and durable athletic socks, Mr. Not a Tree will definitely put these to use!
$41.99
We are going to be completely honest in saying we weren’t sure what this logo was when we first saw it, thank goodness for husbands!
We have to applaud them for sending something that is current as well as stylish and .. works with the other items we received in this box to create a look! They’ve left the tags on each of our hats so we can see their retail values.
This, like each of the hats in this box is a snap back.
$37.99
A nod to our own past – this hat brings back all sorts of skater girl feels! Not only is it in a neutral black and grey color scheme it’s also super comfortable. We’ve been wearing it on our strolls throughout our “hood”. We use that term really loosely as it’s more neighborly than hoodly but .. you know.. whatever.
Love this front emblem!
And again they’ve left the price tag on!
$29.99
When we went through the questionnaire there was only one team we said we wanted, the LA Kings. If you aren’t aware, Mr. Not a Tree is probably the world’s biggest LA Kings fan (long before Stanley Cup Finals… way back when they got their butts kicked by Jeff Cortinall of the Blues). So actually getting something like this (as requested) was awesome!
He calls this their vintage or “Chevy” logo and like we said in the video he does have a hat like this (surprise the man didn’t remember). But that hasn’t changed his overall delight in this hat! He’s been wearing this the past couple days religiously!
Ta-da!
So in summary
We look for three things in a subscription box; quality, curation, and presentation. The Drop Hat Box is an awesome way to really refresh your look each month (and now quarterly as well)! The presentation is great, everything arrives perfectly. The quality is fantastic. Everything is high quality and made with care. The New Era hats and other accessories will appeal to any collector. Curation is phenomenal. We love that they really took our suggestions to heart. We were very clear about teams we liked and didn’t and they stuck to that – so good job by them!
As far as box economy the Box we received costs $79.95 and while we couldn’t find prices for many of the items the hats alone totaled $110 which is an awesome deal!
