Subscription Box Unboxing
Subscription Box Review
My first glimpse inside the May BoxyCharm package. This month the theme is Mother Nature and my box is variation 28
Everything that came in my box for May. This is a good assortment but I’m sort of surprised that there wasn’t a palette includes.
So what is all this stuff?
My box insert. This lists each of the items included in my box along with their retail values. You’ll also find your box variation on this card.
Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss
$26
The first item in my box is from a brand that I’ve really gotten to know and love through BoxyCharm, Iconic London. This gloss has a bit of peach coloring (not much though) and uses peppermint to plump the lips. And yes, if you guessed that it smells like peppermint, it sure does!
Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer
$22
Next up is the item in my box that I was most excited about (mostly because I needed a new one). It’s the Pretty Vulgar Eyeshadow Concealer. Not only is a Pretty Vulgar a brand that I’ve gotten to know through BoxyCharm… they’re a brand that I love the packaging of! Everything is a bit Victorian and they include birds which are kind of my fave ma’ dudes!
Tarte Micellar Magic Makeup Remover & Cleanser
$18
Next up in my box is this Micellar Water from Tarte. I expect nothing less from Tarte than beautiful packaging and that is exactly what I got. This has a purple fountain cap and the bottle has some foliage print on it. I haven’t opened this yet because I have a few Micellar Waters open at the moment but nonetheless this is a nice item to receive!
Haus Laboratories Liquid Eye-Lie-Ner
$20
Second to last in our box for the month is a liquid eyeliner from Lady Gaga’s line, “Haus Laboratories”. I don’t use liquid eyeliners much but I’m pretty stoked to try this one out. The shade is called whiskey and I am loving all the positive reviews that this received.
GlamGlow BerryGlow Probiotic Recovery Face Mask
$49
The final item in my box for the month is the item I chose… I think. This is from GlamGlow and is their Probiotic Recovery Face Mask. This seems like it may be an excellent fit for my skin type as it adds lots of hydration and soothes skin! This is also a high ticket item which is why I’m guessing it was included instead of a makeup palette.
So in summary
Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my package from BoxyCharm
Quality: I think Boxy does a great job of including high quality brands each month.
Curation: If you don’t want repeated brands this may not be the box for you because we do see some brands several times in our boxes but other than that I thought the curation of this month’s box was quite good.
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($25) I received $135 in products which is a mighty good deal!
