Everything that we received in our October “Alter Ego” themed Boxy Charm. This is the variant that we wanted, yay!
So what is all this stuff?
Dermovia Lace a Peel Black Charcoal Bamboo Peel Off Mask

This packet comes with a 20 mL tube of mask as well as 2 lace lay overs to give you the softest skin ever. Just apply and allow to dry for 15-20 minutes. We heard this was going to be really hard and would hurt to take off but … it wasn’t bad at all… and it scared the heck out of the kids.. so that’s a win for us!
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

Next in our box is the item we were least excited about, the Superhero Mascara from IT. We’ve tried this before and have found it to be flaky and to be honest… the last thing that we need in our lives is ANOTHER black mascara! But still we can see the appeal of including this so we’ll let it slide (the box is amazing otherwise!)
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lip

We received the shade “Lolita” in Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lip and have to say that we are quite happy with it.
It’s a warm cinnamon-y nude and dries down matte and STAYS PUT. It smells a bit odd to us but we can totally look past all that!
Farmacy Beauty Green Clean

We are so happy to have gotten this all natural cleansing balm from Farmacy!
This product is a cult favorite with a minimal smell that literally melts makeup away! We love cleansing balms because they leave our skin looking fresh and hydrated whereas other makeup removers can take away from the natural oils in our skin!
PUR the Complexion Authority Midnight Masquerade Palette

The final item in our box this month is a full face palette from PUR. The packaging itself is pretty and we were excited to break in here and play with some of the colors.
There are 2 sides. One is for your face and the other has six shadows.
We have to say that we are only so / so on the face palette. The highlight is a little less pigmented than we’d like and the blushes a little moreso. The bronzer is an eh.. for us on the whole.
The shadows are also an eh… the teal shade is pretty as well as the shimmery green. We are kind of bummed that of the six shades there was just one matte and it was a deeper brown color. We’re struggling to see a cohesive eye look here. HELP US?!?
So in summary
Presentation: Everything from our Boxy Charm was packaged well and arrived perfectly
Quality: While we aren’t the hugest fans of everything that was included we do understand that makeup is personal and that while some products may not be great for me, they may be excellent for you! We honestly believe that Boxy Charm selects really high quality items to include in their boxes each month.
Curation: As always the mix is fresh and fun and really helps to pump up any already existing makeup and skincare collection!
