Subscription Box Unboxing
Subscription Box Review
Our first glimpse inside the Allure Beauty Box for September. This box is a bit smaller than usual because Allure has gotten rid of the plastic makeup bags that they were including in past months.
Everything that I received in my Allure Beauty Box for September. This month there are 7 items in total mostly deluxe sample sized items and some other sample size items.
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. This lists each of the items that was included and why they were included.
Nutrafol Hair & Nail Vitamin
$20
This item was a box bonus and is valued $5 higher than the price of the box itself! I am on board with vitamins that help hair, skin and nails this one works primarily with Biotin (10000% of your daily recommended dosage).
These are horse pills though… so if you’ve got problems taking pills this may not be the supplement for you.
Ciate London Dewy Stix Luminous Highlighting Balm in Gleam
Next up is this highlighting balm from Ciate. I like the packaging in appearance but it looks metal and it’s plastic which kind of makes it feel cheap. That’s not all too important though but I’m not certain I’m loving this product perse.
This is the type of product you’d use to achieve a very natural look. This has that sort of “wet” look which … could end up making you look greasy. I haven’t actually tested it on my face yet though … so we shall see!
Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita
One of my favorite items that came in this month’s box from Allure is this velvet matte lip pencil.
Not only is the color a gorgeous pink-y nude but the formulation glides on beautifully leaving lips soft yet the matte finish gives these pencils and air of elegance that is not easily matched!
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Eczema Soothing Relief Cream
Whew, try saying that five times fast, it’s a mouthful! I was pretty happy to have received this product because I have such angry skin, it uses colloidial oatmeal to soothe and give relief to redness and irritation. I do not have eczema though so not sure if that is going to matter. The sample is pretty small – I’ll get about two uses out of this.
This thick cream doesn’t really have a smell and goes on easily.
Acure Brightening Facial Scrub
Second to last we have an item from clean beauty brand Acure. Using a formulation of clay, walnut shell powder and aloe you’ll get smoother more exfoliated skin without irritation or redness.
Naturelab Perfect Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner
Finally in our box for the month we have a shampoo and conditioner from new to us brand Naturelab. These smell great and claim to manage frizz for all types of hair textures (which could be great news for me). These contain hydrating ingredients like; argan, baobab and marula oils!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything arrived to us perfectly in our Allure Beauty Box this month
Quality: I feel like they include man high end brands and brands that make really well made products!
Curation: This month’s assortment was really nice. I love that lip pencil and can’t wait to try out the shampoo and conditioner.
