Subscription Box Unboxing
Subscription Box Review
My first glimpse inside this month’s Allure Beauty Box. This box was in collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills and I was so excited!
Everything that came in my Allure Beauty Box for December. There is a full sized palette, liquid lipstick, brow gel, body scrub AND a primer! This is probably the best box I’ve ever received from them!
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert.
Inside you’ll find information about each of the products that is included in the box for the month and their full sized value (which admittedly can be a bit confusing at times).
First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer
$28
The first item in our box is from First Aid Beauty and works double duty moisturizing skin and acting as a primer for makeup. This product uses real coconut water to plump and hydrate. Alternately, some Allure Beauty Boxes for December had variations that included First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Moisturizer.
Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt
$53 (for a full sized 253 millileter tub – ours is 40mL)
Okay so I’ll admit I got this product all wrong in the unboxing video. I thought this was a body scrub however it’s a scalp exfoliator which in my opinion is a really unique inclusion in a winter box. I have really loved Christophe Robin products that I’ve tried in the past so I’m pretty stoked for this one.
This has a really nice smell too! Alternately other variations for the month include Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray. I don’t really use hair spray so I’m glad to have received this product instead!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Trust Issues
$20
I am not going to lie, when I saw this color I kind of yawned a bit. This is such a typical color to include in a December Box… or so I thought! This is a muted berry shade (some boxes received a shade called Bohemian) and is pretty but kind of seems to be the thing to do this time of year.
However after applying it and seeing how it dries down to a beautiful, powdery matte I was swayed. This formulation is great and if you like unscented products this may be one for you to try as it has no smell whatsoever.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
$22
Known for their brow products it wouldn’t be right to collaborate a box without one. This brow gel is lightweight and helps keep your brow hairs right where you want them!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit
$40
Then in my box there is a FULL sized palette which was one of those things that kind of made my jaw drop. This palette has six pans of icy pastel highlight shades.
There’s tons of irridescence and life in each pan and each color can be used a number of ways (and as eyeshadow as well).
Swatching each of these was so much fun. They are beautiful on the skin and while the colors can seem a bit intimidating and there’s a few that I won’t use too, too much I’m still really happy to have received this!
So in summary
Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me perfectly in my Allure Beauty Box for December
Quality: Considering most of the products are from ABH who makes really amazing high quality items… I’d say this box ranks high!
Curation: I love this assortment! This is a an amazing collection of items and for the price cannot be beat!
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($15) I received well over $110 in value!
