The first item that I selected for my box for the month are these four nectarines. These are a huge hit with the kids and there’s only one left already!
I also selected zucchini. There were only two small ones but that’s okay. We usually grill these in foil packets with garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper
This head of cauliflower is huge. I’m pretty much the only person in my house that eats cauliflower but I think it will be great with some homemade hummus.
I only took a picture of two but there were TEN – TEN Roma Tomatoes. I prefer roma as they have a lot less juice than other tomatoes.
These two bunches of scallions were in my box as well. Scallions are beautiful in omelettes, soups and anything in between… I just mentioned what we typically use them in.
Another item that I chose is ginger. Fresh ginger is so wonderful in such a variety of dishes. And this one is ginormous!
And while I know some people aren’t into it cilantro is a staple in my house so when it’s available from Misfits I select it.
I’ve been making homemade pickles the past few months so when I saw these mini seedless cucumbers available I figured I’d get them and pickle them too!
This is not a whole lot of baby broccoli so I”ll probably use it in my lunch. I do not remember selecting this either but who knows.
Finally …. I know I know terrible photo… what was I thinking? There were four purple onions, six sweet potatoes, six russet potatoes and six limes. I know tons of stuff right?
So in summary
Presentation: Everything came to me in great shape despite this being an “ugly food” box
Quality: I love that all the produce in this box is certified organic as well as non genetically modified. It really makes me happy as well to know that the packaging is either recyclable or biodegradable!
Curation: Considering I was able to select all the items that were included in my box I would say that the curation was excellent!
