Subscription Box Review
My first glimpse inside my Ipsy Plus for August. I’ll be honest not sure how I feel about the bubble mailer rather than a box but… I mean whatever I guess?
Everything that came in my August “Future is Yours” themed box from Ipsy.
So what is all this stuff?
My insert. They stopped putting what is in the box on here which is a huge bummer in my opinion. It makes this reviewers job that much harder.
Our bag this month is also a little different. The color is pretty but not sure how I feel about a drawstring.
Illamasqua Loaded Lip Polish in Glaze
$24.88
The first item in my box is a lip gloss from Illamasqua. I am not opening this yet as I have quite a few glosses open already, I’m just eh for this to be honest and feel like we receive so many items from Illamasqua in our boxes from Ipsy.
111Skin ATP Cryo Booster
$135
Now before I say what I’m about to say I think this product will be great for my skin based on it’s merit. But having said that $135 REALLY? Let me share something with you guys. ATP is a chain of proteins that forms LACTIC ACID in the body. Basically this beogie butt company is coming up with fancy ways of saying lactic acid. So just know that while this may be a great product and may be a very nice gentle way to exfoliate the skin … it is essentially a lactic acid serum so…. there’s that. That price tag probably isn’t merited.
Huda Demi Matte Creme Lipstick in Bonnie
$20
This color is pretty. I’m not a huge fan of their cream lipstick line but this color is pretty enough that I can forgive it a little bit. The packaging is cute too even if they bit off Kylie.
Purlisse 4 in 1 Cleansing Milk
$36
I chose this item for my box this month. I usually don’t get too excited about Purlisse products because I feel like Ipsy overdoes them but this cleansing milk is the perfect kind of cleanser for my sensitive skin so I will give it a good shot!
Ciate London Watermelon Burst Pressed Setting Powder
$28
I really don’t use setting powders much so… They say this is watermelon scented but I really don’t smell it.
Formulated with hyaluronic acid, vitamin e and light reflective properties this promises to make you look radiant…
So in summary
Presentation: Everything was packaged well and arrived to me in great condition in my box from Ipsy
Quality: The products were definitely a good quality
Curation: Not my favorite box from them but still good.
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($25) I received $243.88 in products which is kinda crazy!
