Subscription Box Review
My first glimpse inside the June Ipsy Glam Bag Plus package.
Everything that came in my June “Make Waves” themed package. This is cute but I was a little disappointed to be honest.
So what is all this stuff?
Our box insert. There’s no information about the products on it which kind of stinks,
Huda Basic B Sponge
$17
First up in my box is a beauty sponge from Huda Beauty. I don’t really use these often so I am not that excited about receiving this.
Araceli Liquid Eyeliner
$17
Yawn. Another black liquid liner. However, since I’m getting lasik soon except lots more excitement about liquid eyeliners and false lashes!
Purlisse Energizing Watermelon Aqua Balm
$24
Next up is an item I’m not sure how I feel about… a watermelon aqua balm seems like something lightweight that is targeted towards teens. But it is from Purlisse who is pretty respected… so maybe I’ll give this a shot.
Hey Honey Youth Boosting Honey & Copper Peel Off Mask
$49
Next up is the items (I THINK?) I selected to be in this box. This peel off mask uses honey to nourish and get rid of impurities and apparently drama. It’s also copper in color which is kind of interesting… should be fun to do with my daughters.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizing Primer
$38
Finally in my box is a luminizing primer from Dr. Brandt. I actually really like products from the Dr. Brandt line and so I’m excited to give this a shot even though I’m kind of set with primers for the rest of my life.
Oh and can’t forget to mention the bag for the month! This is actually super cute – it has women of all colors and sizes in their bathing suits. I also like the zipper pull – it looks like a little yellow ribbon.
So in summary
Presentation: Everything arrived to me in great condition in this month’s box from Ipsy
Quality: I do feel like Ipsy does a great job of pulling items from brands that make great products!
Curation: I was a bit disappointed with the assortment… it was primarily skincare and not all items I feel like I will use.
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($25) I received $145 in items which I think is a really great amount. I think the question with a box like this is if you will actually use the items and that changes month from month… which is part of the beauty of subscription boxes.
